Preparation

Usually, no special preparation is required. You may be asked to remove jewellery, glasses or other metal objects around your head and neck.

During the X-Ray

You will be positioned carefully by the radiographer. Depending on the examination, you may bite gently on a small mouthpiece and remain still while the images are taken.

After the X-Ray

Once your images are complete, you can generally return to your normal activities. Your images will be reviewed and provided to your referring practitioner.
