Coronary Calcium Scan

A Coronary Calcium Scan, also known as a Coronary Artery Calcium (CAC) scan, is a non-invasive CT examination that looks for calcium deposits in the arteries supplying blood to your heart.

Calcium in the coronary arteries can be a sign of atherosclerosis, where plaque builds up within the artery walls. The scan produces a calcium score, which helps your doctor assess your cardiovascular risk alongside other factors such as age, blood pressure, cholesterol and medical history.

At Inview Imaging, our advanced CT technology allows for detailed imaging of the heart and coronary arteries while keeping the examination quick and straightforward.
